About This Experience

The Jivdhan–Bhimashankar–Naneghat Reverse Waterfall trek is a monsoon adventure that blends history, spirituality, and natural marvels in the heart of the Sahyadris. This three-day circuit is ideal for trekkers who seek a mix of fort climbs, dense jungle trails, and rare phenomena like the reverse waterfall during the rainy season.

The journey begins with Jivdhan Fort, perched above the ancient Naneghat trade route. Known for its challenging ascent and panoramic views, the fort features the iconic Kalyan Darwaza, rock-cut steps, and remnants of Maratha-era architecture. It offers a thrilling introduction to the range, especially with the mist rolling in during the monsoon.

The second leg leads into the Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary, where trekkers navigate through deep forests teeming with biodiversity. This trail is not only scenic but also spiritual, culminating at the revered Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the twelve sacred Shiva shrines. The path offers a serene and immersive jungle experience, often accompanied by sightings of the Giant Indian Squirrel (Shekru).

Finally, the descent via Naneghat brings the trek to a dramatic close. The highlight here is the Reverse Waterfall, a rare spectacle caused by high-velocity monsoon winds that push the falling water upward. The area is also rich in history, with rock-cut caves and inscriptions from the Satavahana dynasty that once controlled the region.

Cancellation Policy

No Refund shall be made with the initial booking amount for any cancellations. However,

Unforeseen Circumstances :
No compensation for cancellations due to Acts of God, Natural or man-made disasters, technical issues, road/airport closures, adverse weather, or any event beyond our control.

Organizer Cancellations :

In case of event cancellation due to low enrollment or external factors, we will offer alternate events or a full refund (excluding transportation cancellation charges). Refunds will be processed within two weeks via bank transfer.

Traveller Cancellations :

If cancellations are made 30 days before the date of travel then 25% of the total trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees
If cancellations are made 15 days to 30 days before the date of travel then 50% of the total trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees
If cancellations are made 0 days to 15 days before the date of travel then 100% of the total trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees
The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.
